Rosalind Miller's wedding cakes are exquisite. I do not think I have ever used the word 'exquisite' before.
I was commissioned to photograph Rosalind's edible masterpieces for a recipe book with each shot intended to be a double page spread with text overlay.
The creative concept underpinning this shoot is very simple. These cakes are works of art. Give them the gallery setting they demand!
Prop usage was kept to a minimum while tremendous care was taken to select the perfect backdrop colour to compliment the cake design. The position of the camera and the position of objects in the frame were each calculated with precision.
